Form & Order
This project's objective was to design three non-denominational chapels for the Farmingdale State College campus. The relationship between the building and the natural light that came through was researched to create ideas to control light directions.
Background Research
The Mount Angel Public Library is located in Mount Angel, Oregon. It was designed by Finnish Architect Alvar Aalto in 1970.

Preliminary Designs
Design Process
Light cannon was influenced by Le Corbusier's Convent La Tourette. It unique shape along with the angle of the entrance of light were taken into practice.
The use of angled openings and slabs on the exterior were influenced by Le Corbusier's method of making light enter a space at a sharp angle.
